Privacy Policy

madeforbid.lol is operated by the MadeForCollab team, based in India. We're the ones responsible for the personal data described here.

The Service doesn't have accounts or logins, so there isn't much to collect in the first place. Here's the full list:

• A visitor identifier. A random ID your browser generates and stores itself, so we can count how many people are on the board right now versus in total. It never leaves your browser's local storage, isn't a cookie, and isn't tied to your name, email, or anything you paid for.
• Checkout and listing data. The URL or X handle you submit, the category and bid amount you choose, and the public name, description, and image we resolve for that destination. If you add a description after paying, we keep that too.
• Payment confirmation. Checkout itself runs on Dodo Payments' side, so we never see or store your card details. Dodo passes us back a payment ID, the amount actually charged, the currency, and, where you provide it, your name and email, so we can place your ranking and keep a record of the transaction.
• Clicks. Every listing keeps a running total of how many times it's been clicked. We don't log who clicked, when, or from where. It's an aggregate count, nothing more.
• Messages you send us. If you email us about a listing, a dispute, or a privacy request, we keep that correspondence long enough to respond and to keep a record that we did.

madeforbid.lol doesn't set cookies. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, none. The visitor identifier mentioned above lives entirely in your browser's local storage, is a random value with no personal information attached, and is only ever used to keep the live-visitor count accurate. On our side, we drop it from our database automatically after about a day of inactivity from that browser.

• To deliver what you paid for. Taking payment, creating or raising a listing, and showing your rank all require processing the data above.
• To run a fair, working board. Preventing abuse, fixing bugs, and understanding how many people are actually using the Service at any given time.
• Because the law requires it. Keeping the tax, accounting, and complaint records that apply to running a paid service.

Rank, bid amount, name, logo, description, click count, and the destination link for every listing on the board are public, visible to anyone, including search engines. Don't submit a destination you don't want shown this way. To show what a listing actually is, we fetch a public logo or profile picture for the URL or handle you submit; that lookup can reveal to the destination that madeforbid.lolrequested the page, the same way any browser visit would.

• Dodo Payments, which handles checkout and gives us confirmation that you paid.
• unavatar.io, which resolves a logo or profile picture for the URL or handle you list.
• Vercel and Supabase, which host the site and the database it runs on.
• Professional advisers, authorities, or a buyer of the Service, but only where sharing data is needed to comply with the law, enforce our Terms, or transfer the project.

We don't sell your personal data. Some of the services above may process data outside India; where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers already have in place for handling data across borders.

• The visitor identifier is dropped from our database after about a day without a ping from that browser, and stays only as long as it's in your browser's local storage otherwise.
• A listing's public details stay live while it holds a rank, and move to the history page after the weekly reset rather than disappearing.
• Payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, and dispute handling.
• Click counts are aggregate numbers tied to the listing, not to any visitor, and are kept for as long as that listing's record exists.

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights over the personal data we hold about you, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or export it, or to object to how we're using it. Email contact@madeforbid.lol and we'll sort it out; we may need enough detail to find what you're asking about. Listing a destination publicly on the board doesn't stop you from asking us to take that listing down. The content itself may still exist wherever you originally published it.

The Service is for adults, in line with our Terms. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we'll delete what we can identify.

We may update this policy as the Service or the law changes. The date at the top reflects the current version; if a change is significant, we'll post the update here rather than change things quietly.
